Diving

We have some of the world’s best diving right on our doorstep with a rich variety of incredible marine and coral life. Ras Al Hamra Sub Aqua Club (RAHSAC) offers the opportunity to explore Oman’s beautiful underwater world while making life-long friends along the way.

Oman’s climate allows us to dive all year round and we are a very active club diving every weekend and whenever we can, mid-week too. Diving ranges from shore diving straight off the bay and at sites around Fahal island, a short boat trip away.

On occasion we dive on the wreck at Bandar Khayran surrounded by spectacular scenery and also make trips to the natural reserve at the Daymaniat Islands. There are also weekend away trips further afield.

We regularly see turtles, eagle rays, cowtail rays, stunning shoals of barracuda, cuttlefish, black tip reef shark and at the right season magnificent whale-sharks.
You can join RAHSAC as a qualified diver and will then need to become a member of the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) which is the agency we dive under. This is a yearly membership and very easy to join.

In terms of equipment, you will need a wetsuit as temperatures range from 23C to 29C, your own mask and fins. We offer BCDs, regulators and computers for hire. We currently have 2 main dive boats, 2 compressors and a selection of cylinders.

Depending on availability, some of our highly experienced divers run training courses to an extremely high standard, focusing on safe active diving in buddy pairs, developing confidence and independence. As RAHSAC divers we all help out wherever we can to ensure the smooth running of the club making it very hands on and to support our Dive Marshalls and instructors who give their time on a voluntary basis.

If you’re thinking of joining, we’d love to have you along to share our passion for diving!
If you have any questions please contact our Membership secretary Fady for further dive details.
